WATER DIVISION
OVERVIEW

The water well division of PR Marriott was established in 1947 specialising in the construction of groundwater supply boreholes and investigation boreholes for coal deposit evaluation. The cable tool (percussion) drilling technique was used initially, progressing to top drive rotary methods in the early 1970's.

1980 to 1990 saw significant investment in new drilling equipment to meet projects for water companies and major industries. Since 2000, continued investment enabled the company to provide high capacity drilling equipment for the water sector.
